Uganda Technical College Kyema-Masindi District

Welcome to Uganda Technical College Kyema in Masindi which was started with the aim of limiting young children from growing Tobacco which was most popular in Masindi district.
This college has grown from small to a centre of Excellence.It started as a vocational institute but now its a Technical college which offers technical courses to students both on Diploma and Certificate level.This college is soon to be upgraded to University level in Masindi district and for the year 2016-2017 it was awarded with two strong flat buildings one for lecture rooms and administration offices and the other for hostels from the money contributed by Islamic development bank.Indeed UTC-Kyema is now a centre for excellence in Masindi district.

Requirements for Registration at UTC-Kyema

• College Fees

All students admitted on Government sponsorship are  required to pay a portion of fees to cater for development and other college utilities like water, electricity and other dues for tuition, accommodation and feeding are paid by government. This small portion of fees is always about 500000 shillings plus Guild fee of not less than 45000 shillings. But if you are admitted on private you are required to pay full fees plus Guild fee.

• Registration

Every student to be registered at the college you must bring the following

1. Original Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and three Photocopies

2. Original Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) result slip or its equivalent plus three photocopies.

3. Originals of other academic documents plus three photocopies

4. Six recent passport size colored photographs

5. Four new plastic file folder covers per course to be got at the college, two tins of vim and one bar soap per semester.

6. A dozen of toilet papers per semester

7. All training and other requirements

• For your personal basic needs when reporting to the college your are required to come with your Mattress,pillow,blanket,bed sheets, Mosquito net ,Basin ,Tooth paste ,Towel ,Umbrella ,Slippers ,Books ,Pens ,Sports wear , Enough Sugar ,Jerry Cans ,Enough Pocket Money ,Overall for Workshop training & Practice ,T-shirts ,Box files ,Soap ,Shoe polish ,Plates, Forks and more.
